When the Road Feels Long

Some seasons of obedience stretch far beyond what we expected. The prayer continues, the work remains unfinished, and the promise still feels distant. Scripture names our need plainly: endurance. Faithfulness often requires continuing with Christ after the first excitement has faded and the road has become familiar.
Endurance is shaped through repeated trust in the character of Jesus. He endured the cross, completed the work the Father gave Him, and now reigns as our faithful High Priest. Because He has gone before us, we can bring Him our fatigue, disappointment, and uncertainty, confident that He understands the cost of continuing.
The length of the journey does not mean Christ has abandoned His purpose. He is present in every ordinary step, using perseverance to deepen faith and form His steadfastness within us. His promises remain secure, and His grace will meet us for as long as the road requires.

Where is Christ asking you to keep walking faithfully, even though the road has been longer than you expected?
