Do Not Grow Weary

Scripture

“Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted.”—Hebrews 12:3 ESV

Devotional

Jesus knows the weight of costly faithfulness. He endured rejection, misunderstanding, betrayal, and suffering while remaining fully obedient to the Father. When our own strength begins to fade, Scripture directs our attention to Christ and the steadfast love that carried Him all the way to the cross.

Weariness can narrow our vision until the difficulty before us feels larger than the grace surrounding us. Considering Jesus helps us remember that we are following a Savior who has already overcome sin and death. He meets us in our weakness, intercedes for us, and supplies the endurance we cannot summon on our own.

Christ does not shame the weary heart. He draws us back to Himself and strengthens us to continue one faithful step at a time. The race remains possible because the One who finished His course is present with us throughout ours.
