Scripture
“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’”—2 Corinthians 12:9 ESV
Devotional
Jesus meets us in weakness with sufficient grace. Paul asked for relief from the burden he carried, and Christ answered by promising His presence and power within it. The weakness remained, but it became a place where the strength of Christ could rest upon him.
Weakness exposes the limits of our own strength and invites deeper dependence on Jesus. When we feel inadequate, tired, uncertain, or unable to carry what is before us, Christ remains fully capable. His power works through surrendered lives, sustaining obedience and displaying His faithfulness in ways self-sufficiency never could.
We can bring our limitations to Jesus without fear or shame. He already knows what we lack, and He does not withdraw from us because of it. His grace holds us, His Spirit strengthens us, and His power is enough for the next faithful step.
Reflection Question
What weakness do you need to place before Christ and receive His sufficient grace for today?
