Faithful Where You Are
Scripture
“Only let each person lead the life that the Lord has assigned to him, and to which God has called him.”—1 Corinthians 7:17 ESV
Devotional
Christ meets us in the life we are living now. Paul writes to believers in different circumstances and calls each of them to walk faithfully with God in the place they have been assigned. Our present season becomes a place where Jesus can be known, obeyed, and glorified.
We often imagine faithfulness beginning after something changes. We wait for a different relationship, opportunity, responsibility, or season before fully offering ourselves to God. Yet Christ is already present here. He gives grace for today’s work, today’s relationships, and today’s limitations.
Our circumstances may change as the Lord leads, but our deepest calling remains steady: to belong to Jesus and live for Him. His Spirit can form contentment, courage, holiness, and love within us wherever we are. No season is wasted when it is received and lived with Christ.
