“For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.”—Colossians 3:3–4 ESV

Devotional

Jesus did not come merely to improve our lives. He came to become our life.

Through His death and resurrection, we have been united to Christ. Our identity is no longer secured by what we accomplish, how others see us, or how clearly we understand our calling. Our lives are hidden with Christ in God—fully known, safely held, and eternally secure.

Before we consider what Jesus may call us to do, we begin with who He is: our righteousness, strength, hope, and life. Faithfulness does not begin with striving to prove ourselves. It grows as we abide in Christ and allow His life to shape our desires, decisions, and obedience.

Where have you been looking for identity or security apart from Christ, and what would change if you truly received Him as your life?
