October contrasts the glory of kings with the faithfulness of God. As earthly leaders rise and fall, the prophets and apostles call us back to what is eternal. In the pages of 1–2 Kings and the letters to the early church, we see that wisdom, justice, and strength belong to the Lord alone. This month reminds us that while kingdoms crumble, God’s reign is unshakable.
